Workplace Description
Sturebyskolan is a K-9 school with approximately 1200 students located in Enskede outside Stockholm.
The school's work is characterized by high ambitions, joy in work, high results, and a long-driven quality effort. The school has a long tradition of close collaboration with colleges and universities and has over the years collaborated with, among others, Stockholm University and Uppsala University in various school development and research projects. For our professional teachers, it is a given to base their daily work on research and proven experience. Job Description
Sturebyskolan is looking for an engaged and secure certified teacher with clear leadership, preferably with a few years of experience, but even you who are newly graduated are welcome to apply. Our students need you to be structured, skilled at individualizing, able to see students' strengths, and inspire.
You will belong to one of three teams in the upper secondary school as well as the subject teams in Swedish & modern languages. You care about good collaboration with colleagues, students, and guardians. You inspire students as you are passionate about your subjects and are a natural leader in the classroom.
At Sturebyskolan, mentorship is an active and important part of teachers' assignments. The student health team in the upper secondary school consists of a special educator, special teacher, counselor, and school nurse. It is important that you see collaboration with student health as a natural part of your teaching assignment. Sturebyskolan works with the conviction that all students can and should achieve the goals. A coaching leadership towards students and a high level of participation in the school's quality work is part of our common mission.
You have the ability to design teaching in accordance with curricula, subject plans, and current knowledge requirements. You take responsibility for and have insight into students' results and needs and structure and adapt your teaching so that a safe and adequate learning environment is created. You involve the student in the planning and develop the student's ability to learn, both independently and together with others.
You will:
- Teach Swedish and Spanish
- Be part of teams and subject teams in the upper secondary school
- Be a mentor for students in the upper secondary school together with another mentor
Qualifications
Teaching certification in Swedish and Spanish for primary school
We place great emphasis on personal suitability.

In Stockholm, there are over 140 primary schools and 30 secondary schools with different orientations.
If you are a newly graduated teacher, you are entitled to a mentor during your first year. As a teacher in Stockholm's schools, you have the opportunity to continue your professional development and advance your career. You can, among other things, become a supervisor, development teacher, lead teacher, lecturer, and researcher.
