About the Workplace

We are a two-parallel school with currently about 310 students in grades F-6, and the secondary school is gradually being expanded starting from autumn 2025.

The school is located near Edsviken and Ulriksdal Palace Park, which means we have nature right at our doorstep but are also only 12 minutes by subway to central Stockholm. At Bergshamraskolan, we actively work with structures and methods to create participation in the school. We are the school "in the middle of the village" where we work together with colleagues in a pleasant environment close to swimming, nature, and sports fields. We also have easy access to both buses and the subway.

What Does the Job Involve?

We are looking for a certified teacher in English, Swedish, and a modern language, i.e., French, German, or Spanish. You will be part of a team that next school year will be grades 6-7, but will later become 7-9 with teaching in completely newly renovated premises. The position includes mentorship in grade 7. During the school year 25/26, the position is 80% and can then be combined with a temporary position or teaching in physical education and health at the lower grades to reach 100%. In the school year 26/27, when another grade is added to the school, the position will be 100%.

The team designs and develops the operations to lay a good foundation for students' learning and to create a positive culture in the secondary school that is currently being built. In our school development, we have focused for several years on accessible learning and see that collaboration is the key to shared learning and good student results. Moving forward, we aim to work even more preventively and promote safety while also needing to develop our students' digital competence. School development in Solna includes language-developing methods, digitalization, core values, and adaptation of the learning environment. An important part of the work is to develop the social climate so that all students feel good and thrive in the group.

Who Are We Looking For?

We are looking for someone who:

• is a certified teacher qualified to teach grades 7-9 in English, Swedish, and a modern language
• has experience working as a teacher in secondary school
• is well-versed in all parts of the curriculum and other relevant governing documents
• is familiar with digital tools that you use creatively in teaching as well as for your own planning, follow-up, and documentation
• master the Swedish language well in both spoken and written form
• is familiar with LGR 22.

Your leadership is rooted in the belief that all children can and want to develop. Your teaching is based on scientific principles and proven experience that allows you to create good learning environments. You are well acquainted with and adhere to the ethical principles for teachers and have the ability to promote democratic values.

As a person, you are attentive to the students' needs, clear, respectful, and have a great ability to collaborate with students, guardians, and colleagues. Furthermore, you will plan, organize, and prioritize effectively, ensuring that all processes are completed with good quality.
