The Culture School is part of the Child and Education Administration in Strömstad Municipality.

The Culture School has approximately 550 course places and we offer activities for different ages and stages. In addition to subject teaching, we have various types of trial activities. We offer different forms of artistic expression and provide our students with instruction at various levels. We also have orchestra and choir activities and annually offer a wide range of concerts, exhibitions, and performances.

RESPONSIBILITIES

We are now looking for an engaged brass teacher for our Culture School. The position is 50%, and you will primarily teach wind instruments, but if you have other subjects that can contribute to broadening and enriching our activities, we would love to see how we can expand our offerings to our students even more.

With us, you will have the opportunity to work both independently and in close collaboration with colleagues and external partners. Your role will be central in inspiring and supporting our students in their musical development.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone with a relevant pedagogical university education or equivalent experience in the music field. Previous experience in teaching wind instruments, especially brass, is an advantage.

For us, the most important thing is that you have a teaching style characterized by both breadth and depth. You focus on the student's learning and development and have the ability to adapt teaching based on each individual's needs and potential.

As a person, you are responsible, structured, and creative. You have the ability to inspire and engage students and create a positive and stimulating learning environment. Your solution-oriented and collaborative approach makes you a valued colleague.

We also expect you to have basic computer skills and be able to communicate well in Swedish.
