Strandskolan is a Montessori-inspired school operated as a parent cooperative. Strandskolan has about 300 children, divided between primary school and preschool. We have the privilege of following our children/students from a young age through the entire primary school. Here at Strandskolan, there is dedicated and curious staff who, in collaboration with active parents, strive for a joyful learning experience based on each child's needs in a well-prepared environment. Together, we work towards the child's learning and social development based on the holistic view of Montessori pedagogy. We are looking for someone who wants to work at our school alongside engaged and positive colleagues and contribute to creating a meaningful and developing work environment for our students and staff. To succeed in this role, you need to be able to work independently, have a strong sense of responsibility, and take initiative. You should easily build good relationships with both students, guardians, and colleagues. You are convinced that all students can succeed.

Qualifications

For this position, we are looking for someone who is a teacher in after-school care and qualified in sports.

We want you to have good knowledge and understanding of curricula and general advice from the Swedish National Agency for Education, to provide students with the best conditions. You should be aware of and actively participate in systematic quality work to develop yourself and your teaching, as well as to be part of developing the school's work and goals.

You should have an interest in and ability to interact trustfully with students, guardians, and colleagues. We have skilled and dedicated staff whom we see as a crucial factor for a good operation. We want you to be engaged, proactive, responsible, structured, and have a salutogenic approach.

Job Responsibilities

In your role, you will plan and implement teaching and assess students based on knowledge requirements. You will be part of a wonderful team with close collaboration. We hope that you contribute to each student experiencing their unique value, sparking curiosity, and acquiring knowledge that gives them the confidence to engage with society and have a meaningful leisure time.

This position is a summer job with a start date at the beginning of the school year in August 2025.

This temporary position will be filled on the condition that it is not needed for employees with preferential rights.
