Luleå has a campus area that gathers most municipal upper secondary education programs with nearly 2300 students and is located in the city center. Students in Luleå Gymnasieby should be given the conditions for lifelong learning by focusing on knowledge, participation, responsibility, and leadership so that they are prepared for working life and as citizens in general. The contacts with the business community are many, and in the local steering groups, the business community collaborates with the upper secondary school to create good conditions for students to be well prepared for the time after their upper secondary education.

The Electrical and Energy Program is growing, and we now need to strengthen our team with teachers in electrical and energy subjects.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

We are looking for a teacher in electrical and energy subjects for the Electrical and Energy Program at the Kungsfågeln area.

In addition to teaching, mentoring tasks, and work with APL/apprenticeship assignments, you are expected to work and collaborate with the program team, lead teacher meetings, within subject teams, and with student health, etc. We are looking for someone who wants to collaborate and develop, both within the subjects and within the program.

We see that you have the ability for individual adaptations and flexibility as well as a secure leadership in the classroom as necessities to achieve good goal fulfillment.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are primarily looking for a qualified vocational teacher with professional experience in electrical and energy fields. You who are not a qualified vocational teacher can still apply for this position.

We particularly value good professional knowledge, high social competence, and strong contacts within the profession. We are looking for a person with an interest in developing automation courses within the program. Experience with Siemens and ABB control equipment is advantageous, as is experience in teaching in vocational programs at the upper secondary level. We will place great emphasis on your personal qualities.

Please attach your diploma and any teaching certification with your application. If you are shortlisted for the position, you must be able to present an extract from the criminal record.

Start date: 2025-08-13 or by agreement. The employer applies a 6-month probationary period.
