Welcome to the Labor Market and Education Administration in Boden Municipality!

The Labor Market and Education Administration has a collective responsibility for integration, labor market, education, and employment issues concerning our municipality's residents. The administration is also responsible for the Culture School and food supply and fulfills tasks for the medical and psychological part of student health in municipal preschool classes, primary schools, adapted primary schools, secondary schools, and adapted secondary schools.

Prästholm School is a centrally located F-6 school. Integrated within the school is the municipality's adapted primary school 1-6. The school's student population is about 300 students. We have three after-school care departments where children receive their education before and after school hours. We have parallel classes in each grade with comparatively high staff density.

The school is organized into working teams: F-3, 4-6, adapted primary school 1-6, and after-school care. At Prästholm School, different knowledge and experiences meet to shape ideas and thoughts about the future. The school's primary goal is for our students to encounter teaching that engages, promotes language development, is based on cooperation, and is characterized by a conducive learning environment. Learning from each other in a multicultural context is a significant asset at our school.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

The position includes teaching mathematics, science, and technology. You will be a class teacher for grade 6. You will plan and implement teaching that both engages and challenges the students, with the goal of promoting both their academic and personal development.

As a lead teacher in Boden Municipality, you are expected to be a role model in your teaching based on the school's values and with a focus on didactic development. You should continuously keep yourself updated within science and proven experience, drive collaboration and collegial learning, and strengthen teachers' ability to use each other as resources in teaching. Mentoring and guidance of colleagues are included, as well as being a good ambassador for the subject, the school, and the municipality. Before each academic year, the school's lead teachers, together with the school's management, will agree on an action plan for the academic year that we will follow up and analyze the results of together.

QUALIFICATIONS

You are a certified teacher in mathematics, science, and technology for grades 4-6. You have experience from teaching in primary school and documented experience in school development issues. You have a positive view of people and see each individual's strengths, something that permeates your contact with students, their guardians, teachers, and other educators at the school. You have good communication skills and are clear and structured in your leadership role. You see solutions in situations that may be difficult to manage and have the ability to view situations from different perspectives. You have a good ability to lead your colleagues in quality work. You are secure and clear in your role as a colleague and leader.
