In the city center, there is Luleå Gymnasieby, a campus area that gathers most municipal upper secondary education programs with nearly 2400 students. The students in Luleå Gymnasieby shall be given opportunities for lifelong learning by focusing on knowledge, participation, responsibility, and leadership so that they are prepared for working life and as citizens in general. The contacts with the business community are many, and in the local steering groups, the business community collaborates with upper secondary schools to create good conditions for students to be well prepared for the time after upper secondary education.

In the upper secondary school, there are also specialized programs in mathematics as well as nationally approved sports programs and a national basketball gymnasium. In the Örnen block, we have a combined Sports Gymnasium with three preparatory programs and one vocational program.

We are now looking for a person who wants to be part of the continued development of the sports gymnasium and the National Basketball Gymnasium at Luleå Upper Secondary School!

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

You will work as a physical trainer within the National Basketball Gymnasium, which includes teaching students in Special Sports, being responsible for rehabilitation, and serving as a mentor. The work involves travel and some inconvenient working hours. In addition to teaching, collaboration with program teams, the RIG group, student health, and the Swedish Basketball Federation (SBBF) is expected.

QUALIFICATIONS

You are a qualified and licensed physiotherapist with solid physical trainer education. We prefer that you have a connection to basketball by having been an elite basketball player yourself or worked with elite basketball as a coach/physical trainer. Experience from youth national teams in basketball is an advantage. Attach diploma, coaching experience, and coaching education certificates with your application.

This job suits you if you have good collaborative skills and the ability to structure and organize. You should also be able to express yourself well in speech and writing. We will place great emphasis on your personal qualities.

You will be employed as a coach at Luleå Upper Secondary School with a permanent position.

Start date: 2025-08-13 or by agreement.
