In the city center, there is Luleå Gymnasieby, a campus area that gathers most municipal high school programs with nearly 2400 students. Students in Luleå Gymnasieby are to be given the conditions for lifelong learning by focusing on knowledge, participation, responsibility, and leadership so that they are prepared for working life and as citizens in general. Contacts with the business community are many, and in the local steering groups, the business community collaborates with the high school to create good conditions for students to be well prepared for the time after high school education.

The high school also offers specialized education in mathematics as well as nationally approved sports education and a national basketball gymnasium. In the Örnen block, we have a combined Sports High School with three preparatory programs and one vocational program.

We are now looking for someone who wants to be part of the continued development of the sports high school and NIU-basket at Luleå Gymnasieskola.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

You will teach the subject of special sports basketball within the Nationally Approved Sports Education (NIU). In addition to teaching, collaboration with program teams and student health as well as mentoring for the sports high school students is expected.

QUALIFICATIONS

You are a qualified and licensed high school teacher in the subject of special sports-basket. It is an advantage if you have extensive experience as a basketball coach, with appropriate coaching education. Attach your diploma and teaching license as well as coaching experience and coaching education certificates with your application.

This job suits you who have good collaboration skills and the ability to structure and organize. You should also be able to express yourself well in speech and writing. We will place great emphasis on your personal qualities.

If you are not a trained teacher, you may be considered for a temporary position as an unqualified teacher.

Work percentage: 50%

Start date: 2025-08-13 or by agreement.
