At the Swedish Migration Agency, we are working on one of the major societal issues of our time – migration. We are about 6,000 people here, and we have an unusually important job!

We are looking for decision-makers for the permit examination unit 2 in Växjö.

Main Responsibilities

As a decision-maker, you will receive presentations and make decisions on permit cases according to the Aliens Act and other applicable legislation. You will be responsible for case-related information and maintain and convey specialist knowledge within the subject area. You will have a certain mandate to prioritize and allocate case-related tasks. You will also provide advice, support, and guidance to processing staff. Additionally, you will perform tasks on behalf of your immediate supervisor.

You who are applying have

  • A university degree of at least 120 credits with a legal, social science, or behavioral science focus
  • Several years of current experience in handling qualified administrative law cases
  • Current experience in case management according to applicable legislation
  • Good knowledge of administrative and immigration law
  • Good communication skills and express yourself well in spoken and written Swedish and English
  • Good knowledge of the Office suite

It is meritorious if you have

  • Experience in conveying knowledge within legal application
  • Experience in handling immigration cases
  • Experience in a coaching approach
  • Current experience as a decision-maker regarding family reunification within the Swedish Migration Agency
