JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

We are now looking for an occupational health consultant for the Occupational Health and Quality unit, which is part of the HR department. Our main mission is to contribute to Växjö Municipality's group being a healthy and sustainable workplace. By promoting wellness and identifying and addressing risks, we create the conditions for a healthy workplace with good working conditions. Currently, four occupational health consultants with different specializations work in the Occupational Health and Quality unit, and our mission is to assist Växjö Municipality's administrations, companies, and associations in systematic and proactive occupational health work. The work is carried out in close collaboration with our main safety representatives and safety officers.

In the role of occupational health consultant, you will work both strategically and operationally with occupational health issues. Our unit is an important part of keeping the systematic occupational health work alive and providing support to managers in occupational health matters. We support the organization in all areas of occupational health. In this recruitment, we are looking for an occupational health consultant who will primarily work with risks in the physical work environment, such as noise, chemical hazards, and machinery and work equipment. A large part of the work is performed on-site at Växjö Municipality's various operations.

Examples of job responsibilities may include:

• conducting surveys and analyses
• assisting managers in systematic occupational health work
• creating and implementing support tools for managers
• developing and conducting training in the field of occupational health
• working with reports and service letters
• monitoring, analyzing, and following up on initiatives and key figures.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone with work experience in the field of occupational health. You have good knowledge of systematic occupational health work and the Swedish Work Environment Authority's regulations and have the ability to interpret and apply these in practice. We prefer that you have some form of academic education in the field of occupational health or have experience/education that the employer deems equivalent. For the position, you need knowledge of change, development, and improvement work within occupational health. You have knowledge and experience of management systems, preferably in the field of occupational health.

You are a structured, systematic, and communicative person with a strong commitment to occupational health issues. You have the ability to inspire others in occupational health work and drive these issues independently and purposefully. We also believe that you are flexible and unpretentious, and have an easy time creating and maintaining good relationships. You are development-oriented with the insight that everything we do should lead to a workplace with high attendance and good work health.

Requirement for a B driver's license.
