Job Responsibilities
As a study administrator, you will be part of a unit with the common mission to provide adequate and equal service to all students and teachers regardless of institutional affiliation. This requires close dialogue with institutions and other units within the administration. A significant focus will be on study administrative tasks such as student registration, reserve and after-admission, various study administrative inquiries, sharing information, and preparations for course and term start, program introductions, exam administration, etc. You will also work in our service team, at the reception, and handle room and scheduling issues. Since a large part of our students and employees have an international background, it is important that you can communicate in both Swedish and English for inclusive service.
As a service unit in a changing environment, we work for continuity and collaborate with the goal of developing the campus into a positive experience for both students and employees. You will be part of shaping a dynamic yet coordinated work environment.
You are expected to actively contribute to the development of the work at the unit by developing, implementing, and following up on routines, documentation, and work methods.
The work is mainly performed on weekdays during office hours and on-site, but some weekend work may occur.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent as assessed by the employer
- You have at least three years of documented experience in administration and service
- You express yourself well in speech and writing, in both Swedish and English
- You have good computer skills and experience working in various systems. The position requires knowledge of the Office suite.
Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability. The tasks require that you can work independently and proactively and are prepared to take on other tasks that may arise in a smaller unit.
We are looking for a person who sees opportunities in working in a dynamic and changing environment and who, together with colleagues in the unit, contributes to a forward-looking development. You are professional in your role and have a high service level in your interactions with both students and colleagues, even during stressful periods. The work requires that you are a skilled administrator with good system knowledge and have a good ability to communicate effectively both internally and externally within the organization.
Desirable/meritorious
- Experience in educational administration within the higher education sector
- Experience with study administrative systems and platforms such as Ladok, Canvas, and NyA
- Experience in room booking and related systems
