Administrator for the Gotland School of Culture

Gotland School of Culture
The Gotland School of Culture is located all over the island and has about 30 employees teaching instruments and singing, theater, film, visual arts, and dance.
As our current cultural school secretary is retiring, we now need to hire a new administrator. We are looking for someone who can be an important support person for the manager and other staff, responsible for a variety of administrative tasks while also being the face of our office.
Your Responsibilities
You will primarily work from 07:45 in the morning until 16:30, handling tasks such as personnel administration, student registration - where applications are also received, queue management, invoicing, scholarship management, data collection, and sometimes substitute teacher procurement. In addition to these tasks, you will also need to help reorganize schedules and lessons in connection with short-term staff absences to ensure students receive their education. The work also requires continuous planning and coordination with the cultural school manager.
Who Are You?
We are looking for someone with education and/or experience in administration, preferably within the education system or cultural sector. You have good computer skills and experience with Office programs (Word and Excel) and various web browsers, as well as other more school-specific IT tools.
To succeed in this role, you need to be meticulous, structured, and self-driven. You should be able to work both independently and in close collaboration with others. Since you will meet many people in your role, it is important that you have a good attitude towards everyone, are service-oriented, and can communicate clearly - both in writing and verbally.
We are looking for someone who not only has the right skills and experience but also a genuine interest in the subjects of the cultural school, a desire to do well for our students, and a personality that fits into our team. You are someone who sees opportunities where others see obstacles.

About the Education and Labor Administration
As part of Region Gotland, we contribute to the learning and development of children, youth, and adults in the Education and Labor Administration. We are responsible for, among other things, preschools, primary schools, after-school care, adapted primary and secondary schools, cultural schools, high school and adult education, labor market initiatives, youth centers, and the reception and establishment of newcomers. Together, we provide opportunities for lifelong learning.
