JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Östra Lugnets School is a K-6 school with just over 400 students. The school is located in the northern part of Växjö and is close to Evedal and its natural area. We see systematic quality work and building a learning and sustainable organization as important factors to ensure good quality in our operations and to create a safe and developing workplace for both students and staff. We are now looking for a special education teacher with a focus on mathematics. At Östra Lugnets School, we strive to ensure that the competencies of the student health team benefit all students in a proactive and preventive manner. You will be part of a competent student health team that works cross-professionally. We aim for good collaboration where the professions of student health and teachers have the opportunity to work together around leadership, stimulation, and other support measures.

As a special education teacher, you will be an active part of the school's development work. You will support teachers in identifying and removing barriers to improve the quality of mathematics instruction and increase students' achievement. As a special education teacher, you will teach students, support teachers with adaptations and special support, and conduct assessments, analyses, and classroom observations. You will work closely with our teachers and teams to create an inclusive and supportive learning environment.

Together with our teachers, you will follow up on resource allocation and monitor our students' results from instruction at both individual and group levels. As a representative of student health, you are expected to be the student’s advocate and ensure the student's right to equitable education.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for you who are a certified primary school teacher and have a special education degree with a focus on mathematics. You have insight and knowledge in school development and the school’s governing documents and can apply them in your daily work. We place great emphasis on personal suitability.

You have a health-promoting and solution-focused approach and the ability to create good and trusting relationships. You work professionally and systematically based on governing documents and have good knowledge in meeting students' diverse needs. You have a good ability to work both independently and in close collaboration with others. A willingness to develop yourself and the organization is significant at our school.
