The Legal Department of the City Management Office is seeking a case officer for the guardianship operations.

The guardian is a mandatory authority in municipalities. The guardianship operations belong to the Legal Department of the City Management Administration, which currently consists of 11 people. The administration is responsible for leading, coordinating, directing, and following up on the overall municipal operations and providing management support to the municipal council.

The Legal Department is responsible for the municipality's central administration and is responsible for, among other things, case preparation, secretarial duties in the municipal council and municipal assembly, legal advice related to municipal operations, the register of elected officials, the city archive, and guardianship operations. The department also administers general elections and elections to the European Parliament.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Your primary tasks will be to review incoming reports from representatives and to decide on fees for the representatives. In addition, you will also work with:

  • Supervision of the activities of guardians, curators, and legal guardians (representatives).
  • Cases according to the Parental Code, Administrative Procedure Act, and other relevant legislation.
  • Assessments of the need for representatives as well as recruitment and training of these.
  • Other types of case management within the guardianship operations, for example, ensuring that representatives comply with legislation when performing their duties.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone with a relevant university degree such as an economist, lawyer, social worker, or other education that the employer deems equivalent, or has equivalent professional experience. It is important that you are self-sufficient and have a structured working method and the ability to make independent decisions. The ability to systematically and according to established routines review submitted accounting documents is essential.

You enjoy working both independently and collaboratively. Attention to detail and organizational skills are prerequisites for a professional execution of tasks. You have a very good ability to express yourself both verbally and in writing. You should also enjoy having many contacts and multiple tasks ongoing simultaneously.

To thrive with us, you should enjoy working with people and respect and accept people's differences. You should have a good ability to meet people with different types of disabilities in a positive way. You should also be comfortable with varying tasks and workloads. Experience from work with authority, family law, and particularly guardianship issues is an advantage.

Work experience is a requirement. We place great emphasis on personal suitability.
