Accountant at SLU Finance Department

We are now looking for a service-oriented accountant for the SLU Finance Department in Uppsala. The assignment is full-time and is expected to start as soon as possible and last for six months, with very good opportunities for extension. About the position

The Finance Department at SLU is responsible for the processes of incoming and outgoing payments, financial accounting, and purchasing. They also provide financial and controller support to operations within the university administration at SLU and are responsible for SLU's foundation management. The goals of the Finance Department include ensuring reliable and accurate accounting as well as effective and secure financial administrative processes.

We are now seeking an accountant for SLU, where tasks will include:

• Bookkeeping
• Account reconciliations
• Invoice management
• Time reporting administration
• Internal billing
• Financial support
• Corrections/reclassifications

Who are you?

For this role, we see that you have previous experience in accounting and preferably have worked with similar tasks before. We would like you to have some post-secondary education in the field of economics. Experience with the financial system Agresso (ERP) and Proceedo is an advantage, as is experience in the public sector and the university world.

We are looking for a humble person who can quickly familiarize themselves with various tasks within the accounting field. You are attentive, curious, and find interest even in simpler, routine-based tasks. Furthermore, you are used to working efficiently and in a structured manner and can independently familiarize yourself with new tasks. A central part of the job is to provide support to others, so it is important that you possess good collaboration skills and a sense of service and good manners.
