Windows Developer for the Logging Section

The Swedish Armed Forces is in an expansion phase and is experiencing significant growth. In the Logging Section, you will have the opportunity to work in an engaged and results-oriented team, where you can develop while contributing to the section's and the organization's growth. About the Unit

The section is part of the Swedish Armed Forces' organization for IT system management and consists of both employees and consultants with a wide range of expertise. The section's task is to develop, manage, and operate functional, secure, and robust IT systems to support the Armed Forces' operational capability in the field of IT security.

Main Responsibilities

The Logging Section consists of several autonomous groups with different areas of responsibility, collaborating to solve the common task. The role of Windows Developer is being recruited to the group responsible for basic infrastructure and identity management. The group's main responsibilities are:

  • Developing and maintaining services for login, DNS, and clients
  • Maintaining services for VDI
  • Operational monitoring
  • Troubleshooting and incident management

REQUIREMENTS

Qualifications

  • Relevant academic education or equivalent knowledge acquired in other ways
  • Experience with production systems consisting of Windows Server and Windows 10/11
  • Familiarity with administering Windows server environments using PowerShell
  • Understanding of computer/server networks
  • Ability to work independently but as part of a team

DESIRABLE

  • Experience working with Git and Jenkins
  • Experience in operation, administration, and troubleshooting of Citrix platforms
  • Knowledge of Chocolatey package management
  • Knowledge of the VMware virtualization platform
  • Operation, development, and troubleshooting in Linux environments
  • Experience with configuration tools such as Desired State Configuration, Puppet, and Ansible
  • Experience in hardening Windows servers
  • Familiarity with storage using SAN (Storage Area Network) and Object Storage
  • Familiarity with PKI (Public Key Infrastructure)
  • Experience in monitoring complex IT environments

Employment type: Permanent employment starting with a six-month probationary period.
Employment rate: Full-time.
Work location: Enköping, travel within Sweden may occur.
