This is your mission
The Security Police is tasked with assessing and reducing vulnerabilities in security protection for operators conducting security-sensitive activities. In the role of intelligence officer, your work will focus on handling and driving cases within security protection. Intelligence work is carried out through direction, gathering, processing, analysis, and dissemination of information. You will handle information in databases, direct the gathering of intelligence, and plan and implement operational measures. You will also communicate and collaborate with national and international partners.
You and your colleagues will handle reports of security-threatening incidents and other types of incidents that occur at authorities and companies conducting security-sensitive operations. This involves gathering information to maintain situational awareness and contribute to the Security Police's long-term vulnerability-reducing work within security protection. The mission also includes establishing and maintaining a good dialogue with operators.
Your placement will be at the headquarters in Solna, and the work will be performed on-site, meaning you will not have the opportunity to work remotely. Travel within Sweden may occur.
The qualifications we are looking for in you
Only those who meet the following requirements will be considered for the position.
Requirements:
- Academic degree in a relevant field or police degree, or other education deemed equivalent by the Security Police
- At least two years of documented relevant work experience
- Good IT skills
- Very good ability to communicate in Swedish and English, both orally and in writing
Employment requires Swedish citizenship.
As an applicant, you may also have competencies that add breadth and complementary perspectives. If you can contribute with any of the following, it is meritorious:
- Experience in processing, enriching, and analyzing information
- Experience and/or education in: incident management, investigative work, intelligence work, security protection
- Experience from public sector work
- Driving license B

With your good presentation skills, you can clearly and convincingly convey information to different target groups and in various contexts.
The Security Police has high demands for security and confidentiality, so we expect you to have a strong security awareness.
Employment conditions
Swedish citizenship is a requirement, as employment at the Security Police involves placement in a security class. A successful security screening with a background check, conducted in accordance with the Security Protection Act, is also required for employment.
This is a permanent position that begins with a six-month probationary period. We apply individual salary setting. Employment also entails an obligation to be placed in wartime.
