The Traffic Office is responsible for managing and developing Stockholm's public spaces to ensure they are safe, attractive, accessible, and sustainable. To accomplish our mission, we are about 450 colleagues, mainly located in the newly renovated premises of the Technical Board House in Kungsholmen. We offer

We are now looking for two lawyers to strengthen the team that supports the Traffic Office with legal issues. You will belong to the System and Operational Support unit, which is responsible for the permit department's systems and operational management. We have a total of twenty employees, including two lawyers, with whom you will work closely.

Your role

In your role as a lawyer with us, you will work with legal issues within various parts of the municipal sector, with a particular focus on traffic law and legislation regarding data protection and information security. You will play a key role in ensuring that legislation is followed and that legal assessments are made in accordance with regulations within public law, civil law, property law, planning and building law, and EU legislation. You will provide support during procurements, follow-up on suppliers and contracts, and address contractual issues. Responsibilities also include legal matters related to GDPR, the NIS2 directive, and legislation related to digitization and artificial intelligence.

Your skills and experience

We are looking for someone who has:

• a law degree
• a few years of work experience in administrative law, public law, property law, and planning and building law
• knowledge of EU law related to the area of digitization
• very good ability to express yourself verbally and in writing in Swedish and English.

It is advantageous if you have:

• several years of relevant experience in public authority operations
• experience in contract management
• expertise in information security and IT legal issues
• technical education, such as systems or computer science
• expertise in artificial intelligence.

We are looking for someone who is outgoing and enjoys supporting and helping others. You are used to driving your work forward in an efficient and independent manner. Since you have many points of contact, you need to have good collaboration skills and be able to communicate and adapt your message to different target groups. You have the ability to handle issues at a detailed level while also seeing the significance for the whole. To succeed well in the role, you also need to be innovative and development-oriented. We would like you to have an interest in technological development, artificial intelligence, and digitization from a cybersecurity perspective and that you want to continue exploring the possibilities of digitization for our operations.
