Experienced Communicator Wanted for the Communications Unit

We are now looking for an experienced communicator for the Communications Unit at an authority in Stockholm. The Communications Unit is one of six units within the Department for Operational Support, which leads and coordinates planning and governance processes with a focus on strategic planning, analysis, and follow-up. The assignment starts on May 2, 2025.

You will work as a consultant, which means you are employed by us at Manpower but work on-site at our client's location.

About the Assignment

The department is responsible for financial issues, security issues, legal matters, and HR. Furthermore, the department is responsible for the authority's internal and external communication as well as strategic support in these areas to the authority's management.

The Communications Unit has the following responsibilities and tasks

strategy and communication planning
marketing and promotional work
press, PR, and public opinion
digital channels
production and support for moving media
responsibility for the authority's visual identity
plain language and translations
crisis communication

The workplace is the authority's premises in Solna. Regular working hours are from 08:00 to 16:30, with the possibility of remote work if the assignment allows. The assignment is full-time and is expected to last until October 31, 2026, with a chance of extension.

Competence Requirements

completed university education in media and communication studies or other equivalent education
at least 7 years of relevant experience as a communicator
fluent in Swedish and English
documented experience in project management, working with, and having overall responsibility for a cohesive and integrated communication that concerns both internal and external communication
had communicative responsibility in a larger project of public interest
experience in fronting press and media
be a sharp writer and able to produce content for various channels such as press, newsletters, social media, and web
worked in the public sector
documented experience in crisis communication
work experience as a communicator in an authority
experience from and actively worked with Public Affairs
acted as a spokesperson in media for a specific issue

You are a structured and solution-oriented person with a strong quality awareness. In addition, you have a proactive, engaged, and goal-oriented approach. Your ability to collaborate with others is also very good.
