The Municipality of Uppsala has a common economic department for the entire municipality, organized to best meet the needs of the administrations and the political committees. We are now looking for an economist for the unit in the economic department that supports the care and social services administration in Uppsala Municipality. We are located in modern premises centrally in Uppsala, close to the central station. You will be offered a varied and stimulating job with many points of contact and good development opportunities.

Your mission

Your work will involve budgeting, closing accounts, and analyzing the overall economy of the operations for a specific area of responsibility. It also includes producing forecasts related to operations and personnel and contributing expertise in the preparation of financial documentation for ongoing follow-ups.

Your background

We are looking for someone with an academic degree in economics or other education that the employer deems relevant for the position. You should have experience from previous economic work within municipalities, regions, state, or larger private companies, and we prefer that you have worked with the systems Unit4 ERP and Hypergene. It is a requirement that you have good knowledge of Microsoft 365 and that you have strong verbal and written skills in Swedish.

As a person, you are a good analyst and skilled at seeing connections and solving complex questions and problems. You take responsibility and drive your work forward to achieve results. Furthermore, you are a flexible person who has the ability to see opportunities in changes. Additionally, you collaborate well with others in a responsive and smooth manner.
