Skogforsk is looking for an engaged and driven individual who wants to help shape the future of sustainable forestry through climate and sustainability analysis, modeling, and life cycle assessment (LCA).

In this role, you will conduct climate and life cycle analyses as well as modeling work to identify and report sustainability impacts related to forests and forestry. You will work with climate reporting according to guidelines such as the GHG Protocol and IPCC. You will also support sustainability efforts within forestry and other ecosystem services and contribute to the development of system analyses and reporting that underpin decision-making and business development.

We are looking for someone who has:

• Experience in LCA and climate reporting
• Knowledge of sustainability issues and experience working or studying in this area
• Strong communication and pedagogical skills to present results clearly to different target groups
• The ability to work independently and as part of a team, and be comfortable leading projects from idea to reality

It is an advantage if you have experience interpreting and applying EU directives related to sustainability and climate, as well as forestry expertise. A PhD or higher academic degree in a relevant field is also a merit.

• You have a good ability to identify needs and adapt your approach and communication to achieve common goals
