We Are Looking for a New Colleague

We are seeking a new colleague who wants to work with negotiations in our team in Eskilstuna. With us, you will work in an active grassroots movement that safeguards the interests of members in housing issues alongside engaged and knowledgeable colleagues.

Your Role

You will negotiate with municipal and private property companies regarding rents and other rental conditions and act as a leader in negotiation delegations. Monitoring the external environment and conducting economic analyses are part of the job, as well as advising members and handling collective and individual cases. The work includes collaboration and cooperation with other units and elected representatives. A key part of the role is communication and contact with members, property owners, managers, and various authorities.

Your Profile

For the role, you need to have an academic education in economics, law, or another relevant higher education. We prefer that you have negotiation experience or have acquired equivalent knowledge in other ways. The work requires you to have analytical and communicative skills and to be development-oriented.

Experience working in a non-profit organization is a plus, but the most important thing is that you share our housing policy values and our values of an open and inclusive culture that invites engagement. Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability for the position.

About the Position

The position is a permanent full-time employment, with some evening work and the working hours are unregulated. Start date by agreement, we apply a six-month probationary period. The workplace is located at our office in Eskilstuna, Rademachergatan 1. The position includes some travel, so a driver's license and access to a car are desirable.

The Tenants' Association is divided into nine regions across the country. The work and needs may vary depending on the geographical area. All regions coordinate the efforts needed for their respective districts, and all expertise is gathered in the form of lawyers, negotiators, and business developers. As an organization, we are passionate about ensuring that everyone has the right to good housing at a reasonable cost. Region Mitt consists of 52 municipalities in four counties: Örebro, Värmland, Sörmland, and Dalarna. In the region, we have about 64,000 members, about 1,200 elected representatives, and about 100 employees. The region coordinates the internal resources needed to create housing with security, influence, and community for tenants. We value a democratic foundation and previous experience working in a non-profit organization among our employees.
