Personal Assistant Wanted in Klippan

We are currently looking for a positive and empathetic personal assistant for an 18-year-old cheerful boy in Klippan. He lives with his family and all pets, so it's important that you are comfortable with both people and animals in a natural way.

The position is a part-time job where you will be part of a team of 6 people who all work closely together. Our boy has cerebral palsy, epilepsy, and an intellectual disability. He uses a wheelchair and has aids at home for his mobility.

He faces many challenges in life, but thanks to his wonderful assistants, he has the opportunity to lead a rich and fulfilling life with choir singing, outings, and interaction with animals in the local environment. He also has his own adapted car to easily go on adventures with you.

The more basic tasks involve ADL, communication using alternative communication methods, and training to ensure our client feels as good as possible both physically and mentally.

Assistant's Role and Experience

We are looking for someone who is positive and active in their assistance. You should be able to maintain positive communication without expecting too many responses. You need to be able to share yourself and having some experience with horses is a plus, as it creates a safe and pleasant environment when our boy is near the animals.

You need to be flexible regarding working hours since we in the team manage staffing if someone is sick or on vacation – we support our client and each other.

Preferred Experience

• Experience with mobility aids
• Experience with feeding tubes
• Fluent in Swedish
• No allergies to furry animals
• A driving license (B) is seen as a positive

Working Hours/Employment Rate

• Working hours are in the afternoons when the boy comes home from school, but on weekends and school holidays, daytime hours are also relevant.
• Both awake night and sleeping on-call shifts occur with the client.
• The position is a part-time job – extra as needed during the regular assistant's sick leave and vacation, but if you get along well, there is also the possibility for the position to develop into scheduled fixed shifts in the future.
• Immediate start.
