JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Are you a curious and engaged economist who is passionate about accounting and wants to work and develop alongside other innovative and development-oriented colleagues? Then we welcome your application!
The municipality has introduced e-commerce in 2024 and, as a result, centralized invoice management and is now working to develop management support around the purchasing processes. We are now looking for a sharp accounting economist for the municipality's centrally located finance unit. The finance unit consists of ten fantastic employees who together manage and develop the municipality's financial management processes.
You will become one of the municipality's specialists in accounting, invoice service, and e-commerce. Your tasks will include being a system administrator in our financial system, managing the entire purchasing process from support in simpler direct procurements to the invoice being fully settled. The tasks will also involve other financial administrative processes within the accounting function, such as handling customer invoices, asset registers, year-end work, VAT management, loan processing, liquidity planning, debt collection, insurance coordination, foundation management, and ongoing bookkeeping. You will also conduct training and contribute your knowledge to other development projects occurring within the finance unit.
QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for someone with a degree in economics from a university or college. Experience with the Raindance financial system and the Marketplace will be beneficial. You see accounting as the most enjoyable thing, especially when you can apply your knowledge in value-creating processes with IT support. You express yourself well in both speech and writing and want nothing more than to provide the best service to our employees and citizens whom we serve. You are proactive and development-oriented, see needs, and suggest improvements at an early stage. You are solution-focused and responsible, have the ability to take your own initiatives, and ensure that the work is done on time and accurately. It is advantageous if you have previously worked as an economist in public administration.
