Do you want to be part of a creative team that works to give children their best summer experience? We are now looking for camp leaders for our camps with activities for approximately 50 children and youth aged 9-13 and 12-16 years.

Job Responsibilities

Your task as a camp leader at our camps is to be responsible for children and youth aged 9-16 years and to plan and lead activities for this participant group. Camp involves round-the-clock activities for the youth and us leaders. As a leader, you will live and work at the camp in Värmland together with the children and youth. Therefore, you need to be comfortable being away from home for at least 6 weeks.

A large part of the work involves meeting children's needs and being able to guide them in their decisions. To meet this, we believe that you as a person need to be secure in yourself, your leadership role, and able to set boundaries. To work as a camp leader with us, you need inner security and knowledge about what you want in working with children and youth. Therefore, we are looking for individuals who recognize themselves in these qualities.

Experience

You who are applying should have a strong interest in being outdoors or experience in outdoor education, as most of our activities are conducted outdoors. Activities we do include hiking, building rafts, climbing, swimming, and cooking outdoors. We will also have artistic activities such as theater, dance, and singing. Disco, football tournaments, and themed days are also on the schedule. Since we have such a variety of activities, we see it as an advantage if you have a background/experience as a leisure educator.

Employment Conditions

The position is a full-time job. You must be able to attend our training days on-site at the camp in Värmland from May 1 - May 4, and June 6 - June 11. During the summer, you need to be able to work and thus be away from home for at least six weeks during the period from June 12 - August 18.
