The Social Administration provides support to the residents of Botkyrka and is responsible for authority exercise, primarily according to the Social Services Act. The support is for both individuals and their relatives. The Social Administration has a special responsibility for children, youth, and adults in need of support according to social legislation. We are about 500 employees who, with strength-based methods, provide support to the residents of Botkyrka in an equal, fair, and safe manner.

The Position and Responsibilities

We are currently seeking a therapist for young adults aged 18 to 25.

In this role, you will work closely with our residents and have the opportunity to perform varied work where you can influence and develop your treatment interventions.

You will be responsible for the following tasks:

• Treatment, counseling, and information for young adults (18-25 years) and their relatives; we help each other during high workloads.
• Collaborate with other therapists, nurses, and doctors.
• Cooperate with the Lifestyle Clinic and Addiction Clinic regarding young people over 20 years, participate in SIP meetings. You may need to accompany clients to other clinics if necessary.
• Collaborate internally with other parts of the municipality as well as externally with various authorities and organizations.
• Work with other therapists, nurses, and doctors.
• Continuous documentation in the operational system LifeCare (procapita).

The outpatient care for young adults is responsible for executing decided interventions regarding substance abuse treatment, gambling treatment, youth service, and youth care.

Who You Are

You have an academic degree or a degree in social work and previous work experience as a therapist. It is important that you have knowledge of comorbidity, such as neuropsychiatric difficulties (NPF) and mental health issues.

Other requirements for the position:

• Good experience in independent therapeutic work with young adults and their relatives regarding substance abuse or risk behavior concerning alcohol and/or drugs as well as gambling.
• Knowledge of crime and a strong understanding of a systemic approach to societal problems.
• Possess a valid driver's license (B).

We consider it an advantage if you have knowledge or experience in:

• MI (Motivational Interviewing).
• CRA (Community Reinforcement Approach).
• A-CRA (Adolescent Community Reinforcement Approach).
• CRAFT (Community Reinforcement Approach and Family Training).
• Relapse Prevention.

As a therapist, you have an impressive ability to adapt to different situations, find solutions that benefit all parties, and focus on common goals without personal prestige. You balance independence with collaboration within the treatment field and show confidence even in uncertain circumstances. You take initiative in social contexts and have a natural talent for creating positive outcomes for young adults and their relatives.
