What does the job of a residential support worker at Frösunda entail?

As a residential support worker, you will work at one of our residences to support, motivate, and stimulate the individual's own ability to perform daily life activities. You work to provide each customer with individually tailored support that helps them create structure, routines, and planning in their daily lives.

The residential support is granted for individuals with various types of disabilities, which is why the individuals' skills, needs, and development guide our efforts. The goal is to create conditions for an active and meaningful life in a safe and pleasant environment.

The tasks of a residential support worker include documentation, creating implementation plans, and case management. Examples of tasks:

• Daily chores such as cleaning, shopping, cooking, making beds
• Documentation and reporting
• Outings, walks, exercise, and activities
• Personal care such as hygiene, showering, toilet visits, support, social presence
• Support and motivate the customer for increased independence in their daily life

Working hours are scheduled according to the customers' needs and vary between day, evening, and night shifts, both weekdays and weekends.

About Värmlandsvägen Group Home Värmlandsvägen group home is nicely located near green areas and Lake Magelungen as well as Farsta center with its wide range of shops and restaurants. The residence has good transport connections with buses, subway, and commuter trains. There is a bus stop right next to the residence.

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for someone with a big heart and a desire to make a difference. We prefer that you enjoy working with people and have a strong sense of service. Additionally, you should be able to collaborate easily with others and have the ability to be flexible and attentive when needed.

• We prefer that you are a nursing assistant, childcare worker, or have another equivalent qualification.
• Previous experience working with LSS and care experience is highly meritorious.
• Good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written, is required.
• We prefer that you have good physical ability.

Other information

Employment type: Temporary employment in the form of summer substitute

Extent: Part-time

Start date: Introduction in April or May, summer substitute during the period June-August 2025 as agreed.

We apply individual salary setting and have a collective agreement. Interviews are conducted on an ongoing basis, and the position may be filled before the application deadline. Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.

If you are not a citizen of Sweden, the EU, EEA, or Switzerland, you must be able to prove that you have a valid work permit or are exempt from the requirement to have a work permit. Employment can only occur after verification of the work permit, as required by the Aliens Ordinance.
