Botkyrka Municipality is the sixth largest municipality in Stockholm County and consists of the districts Alby, Fittja, Hallunda, Norsborg, Tullinge, Tumba, Vårsta, and Grödinge. Botkyrka Municipality has approximately 95,000 inhabitants and over 6,400 employees.
The Social Administration provides support to the residents of Botkyrka and is responsible for authority exercise, primarily according to the Social Services Act. The support is for both individuals and their relatives. The Social Administration has a special responsibility for children, youth, and adults in need of support according to social legislation. We are about 500 employees who, with strength-based methods, provide support to the residents of Botkyrka in an equitable, fair, and safe manner.

Our Residential Support Teams in Botkyrka Municipality are now seeking a dedicated and responsible employee who wants to provide daily support to individuals who have been granted residential support according to SoL.
The team currently consists of 11 employees, and we are divided into two teams where each team has a team leader and unit manager. We work fixed hours, Monday to Friday during the day.
The new Social Services Act, which comes into effect in July 2025, represents a shift with a greater focus on early interventions, preventive work, and a more accessible and efficient social service. With us, you will be an important part of this development and transition.
As a residential support worker, you will:
- Support and motivate clients towards a more independent life both at home and outside the home.
- Work on developing practical skills and strategies so that clients can independently manage household chores, finances, and contact healthcare and authorities.
- Be an important support function when clients practice carrying out everyday tasks.
- Plan and adapt work according to clients' individual needs, together with your colleagues.
The intervention is partly performed in the homes of our clients, so it is important that you are comfortable working in someone else's home.
The work involves both practical support in clients' homes and administrative responsibility for documentation and the establishment of action plans and follow-ups every three months together with the client.
We offer you a wonderful team where your opinions and thoughts are listened to and have a close and accessible manager and team leader. You will also receive external supervision once a month and the opportunity for ongoing internal training. In addition, you will also receive:

- Collaboration through sports – we offer activities such as football, yoga, and circuit training every other Tuesday and Thursday aimed at promoting health and creating meaningful meetings where employees can get to know each other in a new way.
You who apply to us have one of the following qualifications: Special educator/therapeutic educator, Case manager, behavioral scientist, social worker, or other education that we assess to be equivalent.
In addition to education, you also have experience working in a similar role, or experience in social work with the target group of mental health issues and addiction. You also have good experience in documentation and record-keeping in accordance with the Social Services Act and MI (Motivational Interviewing).
Other requirements for the position:
- Driver's license B.
- Good computer skills, primarily Microsoft Teams and Outlook.
- Good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written.
It is an advantage if you have previously worked with:
- The record-keeping system Lifecare
- The target group of criminality
- The ESL method, an independent life
You are flexible, have good collaboration skills, take responsibility for your tasks, and are structured in your work approach. You have an empathetic ability and can understand other people's situations without taking over their feelings and are professional in your approach. You are secure, stable, and have personal maturity. It is important that you have good communication skills and that you are proactive. Since we work with clients who have different needs and where contact may be needed quickly, it is required that you are flexible, can quickly change your planning, and make quick decisions.
