This is what we offer

The Social Administration in Hässleholm municipality has a joint reception unit for children, young people, and adults that initially receives reports and applications. You will work with protection assessments and preliminary assessments in the cases that come in. The work is mainly conducted based on the Social Services Act (SoL), the Act on Special Provisions for the Care of Young People (LVU), and the Act on the Care of Abusers in Certain Cases (LVM). As a social worker in the Reception Unit, you will meet citizens of all ages, and your task will be to assess the need for protection and support and whether an investigation should be initiated or not. The cases are then forwarded from the Reception Unit to our investigation and follow-up units for further processing.

We work to create motivating and understandable meetings for our citizens regardless of age. We strive to be easily accessible partners for the organizations we work with, both internally and externally. The assignment includes both advice and information about social services, where we hope to contribute to increased knowledge about the possibilities and obstacles of social services.

Our Reception Unit consists of seven social workers and a unit manager. We have varying work experience, which contributes to a broad competence in the workgroup. We work at a varying pace where we care for each other and help each other when needed. For us, well-being and a good work environment are important.

The position is a permanent employment with a start date to be agreed upon.

Who are you?

We are looking for someone with a degree in social work and work experience in public authority within social services. It is an advantage if you have experience from reception work or social work with public authority within IFO, focusing on children and young people. You have experience meeting people in crisis and possess good communication skills. You have broad knowledge of the various functions of society and the conditions and possibilities of social services. You have experience with documentation and have a good command of the Swedish language in both speech and writing. You need to have a B driver's license.

As a person, you have a strong commitment and interest in working with social work. You have the ability to meet people in difficult life situations in an empathetic and professional manner. Furthermore, you have good collaboration skills, find it easy to communicate, and motivate the assessments made. You plan, structure, and drive your work independently and ask for help when needed and can shift focus at short notice. Of course, you work legally, service-oriented, creatively, and adhere to the laws and guidelines that govern our assignment. In the work team, you support your colleagues and share your experiences and knowledge, contributing to a good working atmosphere. You will be part of a smaller workgroup, and in your role as a social worker, you will work both independently and in a team with your colleagues.
