International English School (IES) is a leading independent school group with academic results far above average and a diverse and energetic staff. Teaching is in both Swedish and English, and the hallways are bilingual. The language of meetings and communication amongst the staff is English.


IES is one of Sweden's largest school groups at compulsory school level with 48 schools and around 32,000 students across the country. IES has grown steadily and maintained quality since 1993.

International English School (IES) Lund is a school for grades 4-9 with approximately 700 students and 80 staff members. IES Lund is a school where teachers can focus on teaching, students are given the opportunity to learn, and everyone enjoys coming to school every day. The school has an international focus, and instruction is conducted in both English and Swedish. The school prioritizes learning and knowledge. Students learn to take personal responsibility for their own development and work environment and to respect their classmates, teachers, and themselves.

We are now looking for a qualified teacher with subject competence in Spanish and English for the academic year 2025/26. The position is a part-time employment (70%) for the school year 25/26.

The role includes shared mentorship. You have a positive view of people and the ability to create good relationships with students, colleagues, and guardians. As a teacher with us, you find it enjoyable, stimulating, and rewarding to teach students from various countries and to give each student the opportunity to develop based on their own conditions and abilities.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan and conduct lessons
  • Assess students' progress, provide constructive feedback, and maintain accurate documentation
  • Mentorship for students in one of the classes you teach
  • Collaborate with colleagues to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment
  • Participate in professional development and contribute to the school's community

Who are you?

  • You have a teaching degree with qualifications and certification to teach Spanish and English.
  • Experience working in a school is an advantage.
  • Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet students' diverse needs.
  • Commitment to continuous professional development and learning.
  • You are passionate about development and a collegial working approach.
