Jacobsskolan has 7 vocational programs and IM.

We are a school with a strong student focus and work to empower students for working life! The school social worker is the psychosocial resource in student health. You have knowledge of societal support functions and act as an advisor for both students, parents, and staff. The work also includes counseling and support using conversation as a tool. The work is based on both health-promoting and preventive measures. Together with special educators, school nurses, career counselors, and school management, you will be responsible for the preventive and promotional work for 4 vocational programs. You will also work strategically for the entire Jacobsskolan together with all professionals.

You primarily work at the group level to provide as many students as possible with tools related to mental and social health. Individual conversations are also part of the role.

Who are you?

We are looking for someone with a degree in social work or equivalent education from a university. You should have proven and documented experience working with the target group of young people aged 16-19. It is advantageous if you have previous experience working in upper secondary school.

We seek someone who enjoys working in multicultural environments and is inspired by new knowledge and experiences. Since you will have several colleagues in student health and administration, we see it as a given that you view your colleagues as a strength and collaborate on areas that you prioritize together.

You find it easy to build and maintain good relationships and gain energy from working in daily operations. In your role, you actively participate in the operations at both group and individual levels, and collaborate with school management, mentors, teachers, guardians, and authorities outside the school. You are involved in systematic quality work, and it is important to us that you are self-driven, responsible, social, and outgoing.
