About the workplace

In the city, the social administration is responsible for individual and family care. Our mission is to enable residents to become independent in life so that they can actively participate in society.

We are undergoing an exciting organizational change focused on creating a more accessible social service based on three main areas: authority, interventions, and services as well as housing. We have high ambitions. But to succeed, we need you (and a few more).

To enable local solutions, we have HVB operations for children and young people in Helsingborg city. You will belong to the Housing Operations area within the Social Administration.

The HVB operations consist of two HVB homes, Kristianstadsgatans HVB and Villan HVB.

Our HVB homes receive boys and girls with psychosocial issues, emerging risk use, or placement after treatment, and we actively work with family and networks.

We are now looking for substitutes for the summer for our HVB homes to cover for regular staff during their vacation. Working hours can be during the day, evening, weekend, or awake night shifts.

Job responsibilities

As a substitute at HVB, you will have a fun, varied, and challenging job with great opportunities to influence the work both in everyday life and in the long term. We work to ensure that the youth have a functioning daily life, where structure, activities, and meaningful leisure are some components.

Through motivational conversations and a positive attitude towards change work, you will help the youth create good conditions to follow their implementation plans and achieve their goals.

We work to ensure that the youth have some form of contact/relationship with their family/network as far as possible. The work may include family conversations as well as individual conversations.

Documentation is done in Journal Digital. The work also includes practical tasks similar to those that occur in a home.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who has:

• a degree in social work, education as a treatment pedagogue, treatment assistant, or equivalent at least two years of post-secondary education or is currently in training
• experience in support and treatment work with the target group is an advantage
• experience in addiction, network work, psychiatry, and neuropsychiatric disabilities is an advantage
• good ability to express yourself in speech and writing as well as good computer skills
• a driver's license and can drive a car.

You can work independently and feel confident in making your own decisions. You are responsible and can prioritize based on each individual situation.
