About the Position

With us, we implement decisions regarding contact persons, short-term families, escort services, and relief services according to LSS and SoL for people with various disabilities.

Do you want to make a difference for a person who, due to their disability, risks social isolation? Being a contact person is a rewarding task that is done alongside one's main occupation. A contact person is granted to individuals who, due to their disability, risk social isolation. This can include both youth and adults. As a contact person, you will meet the person you are supporting about two to three times a month, totaling around 10 hours. Meetings can be during the day, in the evenings, or on weekends. The contact person's role is of a friendly nature. Together, you can go on outings or activities, such as going to the movies, museums, or having coffee. It can also involve exercising or walking together. Activities are based on the interests and wishes of the individual.

We are now looking for an engaged contact person who wants to support a man in Skogås. It is important that the contact person can meet and drop off the man outside his home. The man is interested in sports, technology gadgets, and enjoys visiting the store Jula in Haninge. Being a contact person is not a formal employment but a compensated assignment, with compensation following SKR's recommendations. In addition to the compensation, you will also receive a reimbursement to cover your expenses related to the meetings.

Who Are You?

We are looking for someone who has the time and interest to get to know and support this man. You do not need previous experience in the role, but you must be able to meet the man every other weekend on a fixed day and time and meet and drop him off outside his home. We prefer that you are structured, unpretentious, and calm. It is advantageous if you have experience with various types of disabilities, have education focused on, for example, care and nursing, educational or social work. Furthermore, you must be proficient in the Swedish language, both spoken and written. To become a contact person, you must be at least 18 years old. During an interview, we will ask for consent to obtain extracts from the police's suspicion and criminal records as well as the social register.

When a person is granted a contact person, they may sometimes have specific wishes regarding their future contact person. Matching is important for a successful intervention. Our recruitment needs vary, and we will follow up with those individuals we believe we can have a matching assignment for. For new requests, we review the incoming applications to look for a potential match. This means that we will invite candidates for interviews based on the requests we have.
