At Norlandia Elderly Care, we are looking for a nursing assistant/care assistant who wants to work full-time/part-time during all or part of the summer at Kvarnåsen Elderly Home in Årjäng. Would you like to be part of our team this summer? Then you are warmly welcome to submit your application!

As a nursing assistant/care assistant, you are a valuable key player who contributes to ensuring that our residents have a safe and meaningful existence in their later years. We always start from the resident's will and own ability and focus on what is healthy. As a nursing assistant/care assistant, you are responsible for providing dignified and good care based on the elderly person's individual needs. Typical tasks may include assisting with daily care, medication administration, documentation, support during activities, serving meals, and light cleaning in the residents' apartments. You will be involved in everything from educational care moments to enjoyable activities with the residents. It's a very exciting job! At our facility, we always have access to nurses, occupational therapists, and physiotherapists as support in daily care work. We also have activity leaders who organize daily activities at Kvarnåsen.

Kvarnåsen Elderly Home caters to individuals with dementia and somatic aging as well as psychogeriatric needs. The facility is centrally located in Årjäng with close proximity to the bus station. Kvarnåsen has 92 apartments distributed across 9 departments of varying sizes. We also have a central kitchen and a dining room that is open to the public. The pillar hall is our gathering space where activities are offered to our residents throughout the week. Our vision is for our residents to have a good life every day. We place a strong focus on food, meals, and activities.

We are looking for someone with a big heart and a desire to make a difference. We hope you enjoy working with people and have a strong sense of service. You should also be able to collaborate easily with others and have the ability to be flexible and attentive when needed.

• It is highly meritorious if you have a nursing assistant education (or equivalent education) of at least 1350 points.
• It is highly meritorious if you have previous experience in elderly care.
• Good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written, is required.
• We prefer that you have good computer skills and experience with documentation.

Employment type: Summer temporary position

Scope: Full-time, part-time, or hourly employment

Start date: June, July, and August 2025.

We apply individual salary setting and have a collective agreement. Interviews are conducted on an ongoing basis, and the position may be filled before the application deadline. Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.

If you are not a citizen of Sweden, the EU, EEA, or Switzerland, you must be able to prove that you have a valid work permit or are exempt from the requirement to have a work permit. Employment can only occur after verification of the work permit, as required by the Aliens Ordinance.
