We are looking for a nurse for ward 33.

The Nephrology Clinic is responsible for specialized kidney care in Värmland. Ward 33 is a medical acute care ward with expertise in nephrology, which includes the investigation of kidney diseases and preparation for hemodialysis (HD) and peritoneal dialysis (CAPD). Here, both acutely ill patients and patients in a less critical condition are cared for. The ward has patients aged 18 and older, with lengths of stay varying from a few days to several weeks.

We offer a developing and varied position where you will work with patients who have a combination of several diseases. This gives us the opportunity to develop our competence in various medical areas and improve our ability to handle complex care situations.

You will be an important part of our team and contribute to providing good care. You will receive individually tailored onboarding and internal training, as well as training in peritoneal dialysis treatment. If you are a newly graduated nurse, a clinical development program (KUP) is included during your first year.

Your Responsibilities

The care ward is divided into several teams, which means that you, together with the nursing assistant, will be responsible for the daily care of the patients. Your responsibilities include rounds, medication management, and various medical technical tasks. The ward has many students, and supervision will be part of the work. The position involves a mixed schedule - day, evening, and night.

Your Skills/Competencies

You are or will soon become a licensed nurse. Experience in inpatient care and knowledge of peritoneal dialysis treatment (CAPD) is advantageous. You are a positive and solution-oriented person, have a good attitude, and are good at communicating. For us, it is important that you are secure, meticulous, and have good collaboration skills. You want a varied and independent job where you constantly develop in your professional role. You put the patient first and are good at taking initiative and responsibility for your own tasks as well as for the whole. You also have the ability to adapt to changing circumstances and can handle days with sometimes high tempo.
