Your Workplace

The Cardiology and Emergency Medicine department continuously works to develop the operations with the patient in focus for safe care with high quality. Through developed leadership and employee engagement and a good working environment, we create added value for those we serve!

Ward 56 is part of the Cardiology and Emergency Medicine Clinic, and currently, we have 16 care places open and are looking for more colleagues to open up to a full ward with 21 patients. The care places are divided with half in MAVA (Medical Acute Care Unit) and half in Pulmonary Medicine, an exciting combination with medical breadth and the opportunity for great variation in work.

On the ward, there is a cheerful group of colleagues who view change work positively. With us, we have a large team around the patient. In addition to nurses, doctors, and nursing assistants, we have preparing pharmacists, receptionists, discharge coordinators, and service staff.

Your Responsibilities

As a nurse with us, you will lead and be responsible for the daily care of the patients. In your interactions with patients, you play an important role in collaboration with other employees. The role includes, among other things, medication management with the support of a pharmacist, specific nursing care, such as BIPAP, Optiflow, heart monitoring, as well as rounds and documentation.

The most common diagnoses in MAVA are chest pain, arrhythmia, intoxication, pneumonia, and diabetes. Correspondingly, on the pulmonary side, we see COPD, pulmonary fibrosis, pneumothorax, and pleural effusion. With us, you will alternate between the two specialties.

As a new employee with us, you will receive an individually tailored onboarding with designated mentors where we provide you with the department-specific training you need. We also offer operational-specific education.

Your Skills and Competencies

We are looking for you who are a licensed nurse or soon to graduate as a nurse. You are attracted to emergency care and the medical breadth that Ward 56 offers. You feel a drive in the sometimes high tempo that the work on the ward entails and work well in collaboration with others. You are confident, clear, proactive, and professional with a good empathetic ability.

Experience in the field is seen as a positive but not necessary; we help each other build your experience and competence together. Since we are keen to find the right person for the position, we will place great emphasis on personal suitability.
