Your Workplace

The Central Hospital in Karlstad is a modern and complete county hospital for the entire population of Värmland. It offers highly specialized care, which most people need only a few times in their lives. There are about twenty different specialties, including ophthalmology, dermatology, gynecology, nephrology, pediatrics, surgery, PCI, and oncology.

The health center is part of primary care, which is the foundation of healthcare in Värmland and offers care at all stages of life. At the health center, our patients receive assessment, investigation, treatment, follow-up, and rehabilitation depending on their illness and symptoms. Eight out of ten patients are fully treated with us.

The Adult Psychiatric Clinic is a new area of operation and includes specialized psychiatry in outpatient and inpatient care for all of Värmland. An operation that has a broad basic offering from diagnostics to treatment and simultaneously strives to constantly improve, build relationships, and develop collaboration.

Your Tasks

We are looking for nurses for summer temporary positions in 2025, for several of our clinics and departments at the Central Hospital in Karlstad. We offer you a stimulating job, and with your help, both we and the patients will improve.

As a summer temporary worker, you will receive an introduction to your position and the opportunity for mentorship support. A summer temporary position with us is a great start to your career as a nurse.

As a nurse, you will lead and be responsible for the daily care around the patient and perform common nursing tasks such as medication management, rounds, and care work. In the daily meeting with the patient, you play an important role in collaboration with other staff categories.

Your Skills and Competencies

You are a licensed nurse or are expected to receive your license by spring/summer 2025.

This means that you are easy to collaborate with, take responsibility for your tasks, and are flexible. Your working method is patient-focused with an ability to see the whole picture.
