Welcome to the Infection Clinic! The clinic has specialized expertise in infectious diseases and is responsible for specialized infectious care in Värmland.

The clinic consists of wards 31/32, the infection outpatient clinic, and vaccination services in Värmland.

The Infection Clinic is an exciting workplace that uniquely allows you to broaden your competencies. Infectious care is a field where you will encounter both acutely ill patients and patients in less critical conditions. In your daily work, you will have the opportunity to develop in both medicine and nursing. We care for patients aged 18 and older, and lengths of stay vary from a few days to sometimes several weeks. Common infectious conditions we treat include sepsis, endocarditis, spondylodiscitis, meningitis, various respiratory infections, and wound and soft tissue infections.

We offer individually tailored onboarding, internal training, and support and guidance from mentors on the ward. We hold annual clinic days with education and various activities. Together, we strive for a good working environment and quality care with the patient at the center. As a nurse in wards 31/32, your main placement will be in the ward, but as the clinic is developing, the goal is to allow for variation in tasks across the clinic's different areas.

Your Responsibilities

The ward is divided into several teams. As a nurse, you will lead a team and be responsible for the daily care of the patients. You will identify the patients' needs and, together with the team, implement the necessary measures. You play an important role in the collaboration between different staff categories. Your work will include standard tasks such as medication administration and preparation, rounds, and various medical technical procedures. The team includes doctors, nurses, and nursing assistants. In addition to these professions, there are also support functions such as pharmacists, LINK coordinators, receptionists, medical administrators, and service staff.

Your Skills/Competencies

We are looking for a licensed nurse who wants to be part of the continued development of the Infection Clinic. You are a positive and solution-oriented person who desires a varied and independent job where you continuously develop in your professional role. You put the patient first and are good at taking initiative and responsibility for your own tasks as well as for the whole. You are also skilled at collaborating with others.
