About the Role and Your Responsibilities

As a family home secretary in Lund municipality, you work with the overall situation of the placed child.

In some cases, you are the designated social worker for the child, while in other cases you are the social worker for the family home. You will work in pairs on the case and collaborate with the entire network around the child from a systemic perspective.

Within the unit, we are responsible for recruiting, investigating, training, and supervising both new and existing family homes. We also work with emergency placements and contact activities.

Our work is characterized by high quality, continuity, legal security, and great commitment to the placed child. With us, you will have a varied, independent, and meaningful job where we engage in finding the best support for our placed children and family homes.

We are looking for you

We are looking for someone with a degree in social work and preferably experience in family home care. Experience from other roles within social services or other authorities that has contributed to your insight and knowledge about the investigation of children and young people is also meritorious.

Authority work should go hand in hand with empathy and constructive collaboration, but also with clarity and methodology that social workers are expected to uphold. We place great importance on you being a person who can combine commitment with a calm demeanor, as well as the ability to prioritize and structure your work. At the same time, you need to be flexible when the needs of the organization affect your planning.

You meet people with respect and handle your authority role responsibly by focusing on and analyzing the information and knowledge that is most essential for managing your cases in various situations.

A driver's license is required for the position.

About the Workplace

The Family Home Unit is part of the Labor Market and Social Administration and consists of 13 employees, including a manager, a senior social worker, and an administrative officer.

You will receive a thorough introduction to the work, good opportunities for professional development, and continuous support from your colleagues and manager. We have many colleagues with extensive experience and many years in the profession, so there is substantial knowledge to draw from.

We work in the municipal building Kristallen, in close proximity to Lund Central Station. Kristallen is a modern open office landscape, where we have the opportunity to choose the workspace that best fits our tasks.
