The Social Administration works to provide support and help to children, young people, families, and individuals with disabilities or dependency problems. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Are you a person who wants to influence the care for the most vulnerable children and young people in our society? Do you want to make a real difference?
In your role as a child caseworker within foster care, you will primarily work to follow up on the care of children and young people placed in foster homes. You will work under both SoL and LVU. In your daily work, you will ensure that placed children and young people have their needs and rights met. You will meet the child/youth regularly and conduct child conversations, safety assessments, and make assessments regarding contact with parents. You will work to ensure that children placed away from their parents are involved in their own care and understand why they are placed. Furthermore, you will handle ongoing documentation in the case, make considerations and reassessments of care, as well as investigations that occur during the placement. You will work closely with foster care caseworkers on cases. Together, you will receive support and supervision from a senior social worker.
For us, it is important that you are a team player who can also work independently. We want each other's success and help each other to reach our goals; teamwork is important to us. You will receive regular methodological supervision, external supervision, and be offered relevant training. We are part of the Professional Journey. The school coordinator will assist you with questions regarding schooling and collaboration with the school to help children succeed in their studies.
QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for someone with a degree in social work and experience working with authority and with placed children and young people, as well as experience working with BBiC.
It is an advantage if you have worked with Signs of Safety and the documentation system Life Care, as well as network work.
You have a clear child perspective in your work and you work to ensure that children are involved based on their circumstances depending on their age and maturity. It is important to us that you value creating and maintaining good relationships, both internally and externally. We are looking for positive, engaged, and creative individuals who want to work within foster care.
We work thematically, and our workgroup is divided into two teams. The teams are led by their own senior secretary and unit manager. Within the workgroup, there are also social advisors who work with enhanced foster care and school coordinators.
