Vidhögeskolan is a K-9 school with approximately 570 students and 85 staff members. The school is located in the northern part of the municipality, right in the community of Veddige, with good transport links to Varberg and surrounding municipalities.

Our catchment area covers a large geographical area, and we accept students from Deromeskolan in grade 4. All classes have home classrooms with associated group rooms, and there are well-equipped special rooms for practical/aesthetic subjects. We also have Flex activities at the school. There are also good opportunities within the subject of sports as we have access to various sports halls and are close to an ice rink, as well as an outdoor environment that promotes movement.

At our school, we believe that safety and well-being are important for both students and staff, and students have access to health staff every day of the week. JOB DESCRIPTION

We are looking for a social pedagogue with competence and experience working in schools and with students with NPF (Neuropsychiatric Disorders). You will, together with other staff, work to promote and prevent so that our students receive the support they need in their education. You will continuously work to develop and strengthen the value-based work for increased well-being among the school's students.

You will collaborate with teachers, teaching assistants, health staff, and other school personnel to create a school where study peace, safety, and joy in learning are the foundation.

Through conversations, collaboration, and cooperation, you will enable students to thrive and feel safe at school and receive the support they need.

You will be responsible for the school's café operations, where you will work to create a safe and pleasant meeting place for our students. You will work to create a vibrant café where student participation and inclusion are fundamental.

As a special educator in Varberg Municipality, you are an important part of the school's health team. You will closely collaborate with the principal, special teachers, and other professionals to develop and implement measures that strengthen students' knowledge development and well-being. You primarily work preventively and promote together with the students while guiding and supporting teachers in adapting teaching and the learning environment at the individual and group level.

By teaching, guiding, and collaborating with teachers and other professionals, you contribute to developing the quality of teaching and creating structures and processes that endure over time. You have a humble, formative approach and share and absorb knowledge to strengthen the school's goals. QUALIFICATIONS

• We are looking for someone who is a trained social pedagogue.
• You have experience working in schools.
• It is advantageous if you have worked with students in need of extra adaptations, support, and students with school absenteeism.
• You have good knowledge of and understanding of various methods and approaches that support students based on their needs throughout the school day.

As a social pedagogue, you are engaged and have a formative approach with the ability to create motivating and activating teaching. Your teaching is based on proven experience and scientific principles with an exploratory approach.
