We are now looking for a support educator for the LSS accommodation in Väröbacka (the Act on Support and Service for Certain Disabled Persons). The accommodation will focus on communication.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As a support educator, you will collaborate with other colleagues, play an active role in developing common methods, working methods, and routines within the unit. Together with the unit manager, you will be responsible for the process surrounding social documentation, implementation plans, and method descriptions.

Coordinating role with certain schedule responsibilities.

Interest in welfare technology solutions.

Your duties also include mentoring your colleagues. The job responsibilities also include care work and medication management after delegation.

You will also be part of a network with other support educators across the entire operational area. In this network, you will receive guidance from the organization's method developer.

Working hours: day, evening, weekend.

QUALIFICATIONS

As a support educator, we are looking for someone with at least 200 YH points, 60 credits, or what the employer assesses as equivalent. You should have experience working with people with disabilities. We would also like you to have experience and interest in tasks that involve taking a prominent role in the work group and supporting the implementation of methods. Knowledge of sign language and/or alternative and augmentative communication (AAC) is an advantage.

You have a good ability to express yourself in speech and writing and have good knowledge of social documentation. You also find it easy to share your knowledge and support your colleagues.

Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.

A driver's license is required.
