Kriminalvården is looking for a managerial support in Vänersborg
Kriminalvården is growing – we are building new, renovating, and expanding, and we are now looking for more employees. Our most important goal is to reduce recidivism – to break the vicious cycle. If we succeed, society will be safer and more secure for everyone. We are the authority responsible for prisons, probation, detention, and client transport.
The Vänersborg area consists of two prisons in Vänersborg and a detention center in Uddevalla. The Östragård prison is an open facility aimed at clients convicted of sexual offenses, while the Brinkeberg prison is a closed facility with a higher security classification. The Uddevalla detention center receives both detained individuals with and without restrictions.

Your workplace will primarily be the Brinkeberg prison in Vänersborg, but travel within the operational area and region will occur. The recruiting manager is Marina Lindblad.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
As managerial support, you will work both strategically and operationally with organizational development and follow-up in close collaboration with your immediate manager and other correctional inspectors (first-line managers). As managerial support, you will work both broadly and in-depth in the management's control and follow-up processes, which often takes place at a fast pace, together with your colleagues in the local management team.
You will support the management team in various issues from an HR perspective, focusing on issues related to work environment, labor law, collaboration/MBL, and strategic work including economic follow-up, sick leave rates, and salary formation. You will be involved in workforce planning and handle tasks such as ordering employment contracts and ensuring that documents are registered and managed. In this role, you will also be responsible for preparing decision-making materials and other documents for management meetings, safety committees, and negotiations. Furthermore, you will provide support to managers in specific issues such as annual planning, operational planning, and preparing follow-ups. Given the changing and varied nature of our work, other tasks than those mentioned above will also occur.

You plan, organize, and prioritize work effectively, take independent responsibility for your tasks, see the bigger picture, and consider the broader perspective. You easily adapt to changing circumstances, remain motivated, have good patience, and work until tasks are completed.
You have an interest in helping others, finding solutions, and have a humble attitude towards colleagues and tasks. The role involves many points of contact both within and outside the organization, and therefore high demands are placed on good communication and collaboration skills in dialogue with managers, union representatives, and external actors with whom you collaborate.

We are looking for someone who has:
- A degree in HR or other education combined with work experience deemed relevant for the position by Kriminalvården
- Several years of work experience in a similar role within HR/support for managers or other equivalent experience deemed relevant for the position by Kriminalvården
- Experience in independently driving processes with multiple stakeholders
- Good knowledge of the Swedish language in both speech and writing
- Very good computer skills
- Driving license B
It is advantageous if you have:
- Work experience in administrative roles in the public sector, preferably within the justice system
- Experience with state collective agreements
- Good knowledge of laws and agreements (labor law, working time regulations, policies, etc.)
- Experience with Heroma
- Experience in workforce planning
- Experience in document management and handling
- Experience in collaboration with employee organizations and cooperation with external actors
