JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Jättestensskolan is a municipal primary school located in southern Biskopsgården, on Hisingen in Gothenburg. We have a multicultural catchment area that includes students from various backgrounds. The school has over 600 students and around 75 staff members. The student health team and administration are present at the school along with a dedicated caretaker.

At Jättestensskolan, the entire primary school is represented; preschool class, after-school care, and grades 1-9. We also offer recess activities and homework help. There are two schoolyards and besides the regular classrooms, there are craft rooms, an art room, a science room, a music room, a home economics room, a spacious gym, and a large break room.

Jättestensskolan is an active school, and we place great emphasis on being physically active as we believe it creates good conditions for learning for our students and a good working environment for our staff. On Thursday afternoons, all teachers have joint meeting and planning time where after-school staff and teachers for grades 1-3 also meet. With us, all staff share responsibility for the school's core values and actively work to counteract bullying and harassment.

We are now looking for a primary school teacher with a focus on after-school care for our fantastic after-school program. In the role of after-school teacher at Jättestensskolan, you will be responsible for the after-school program in the afternoon and during school hours, you will be a resource in the classroom. Recess activities are also part of your responsibilities.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for a certified teacher in after-school care. It is an advantage if you have a background in physical education and health.

Your work will include overall responsibility for the students' social and academic development. You will participate in the school's joint processes, such as working on core value issues. You have the desire and ability to work with students and build relationships. Your ability to collaborate with both students, guardians, and colleagues is good. Digital competence is a requirement for managing information and documentation and is a natural part of teaching. We are looking for someone who is solution-oriented and has the ability to meet students based on their individual circumstances and needs.
