Are you an engaged and driven person who wants the opportunity to develop and help develop our organization?
As an administrator at SSCO, you will work with the organization's financial and administrative tasks. Your main responsibilities will include ongoing financial management such as bookkeeping, handling payments, and invoicing our members and partners.
You will also be responsible for the long-term financial work in terms of developing and following up SSCO's budget, preparing SSCO's annual report, and compiling our audit documentation. You will also have administrative tasks related to the annual meeting, members, and external institutions.
Examples of tasks
• Ongoing bookkeeping and responsibility for payments, receipts, and invoicing
• Follow up and report SSCO's finances to the SSCO board.
• Prepare SSCO's annual report.
• Be responsible for developing or collecting and coordinating the work around the organization's audit documentation.
• Be responsible for contact with SSCO's external auditors and accounting firm.
• Prepare SSCO's budget.
• Provide administrative support to the member associations.
• Administer the membership database.
• Take minutes during SSCO's annual meetings.
• Be an information support to students primarily via email.
• Participate in joint office meeting forums.
About you
We are looking for someone with education or experience in financial work such as bookkeeping and annual reports. You should have basic knowledge of working with software such as Visma e-economy and Excel/Google Sheets. You are interested in democratic processes and the financial governance of non-profit organizations. You are structured and good at working towards goals set by both the office and the board. You need to have good knowledge of Swedish and be comfortable interpreting contracts and other legal documents. You also need to be comfortable expressing yourself in English both verbally and in writing.
SSCO is a membership organization, and an understanding of decision-making processes and democratic processes is fundamental. As a person, you are good at working independently and planning your own time. You are also good at coordinating and planning work where different parts of the documentation are done by different people. You should also be solution-oriented and enjoy taking your own initiatives.
About the workplace
SSCO is a politically independent non-profit organization. The office you will be part of consists of two employees and four elected representatives. SSCO's premises are located at Torsplan in central Stockholm.
Since 1896, SSCO has been a collaborative body for Stockholm's student and pupil unions. Today, SSCO represents about 100,000 students through our 43 member unions. SSCO's three main areas are politics and influence, student social activities, and student services and member support.
Other
The position is a temporary contract for 11 months with some possibility of extension starting May 12. There is an opportunity for some remote work. The position is covered by the applicable collective agreement and benefits such as wellness grants.
