About the Role and Your Responsibilities

The leisure center at Vikingaskolan is divided into age-homogeneous departments for grades F-3.

Licensed primary school teachers in leisure education are present in each department.

You will be part of a team where you, together with your colleagues, are responsible for planning and following up on the educational activities in the leisure center. You will either be responsible for one of the practical-aesthetic subjects or for FRIS sessions during the school day (leisure in school), where the class is usually divided into smaller groups. By taking advantage of the students' interests and needs, you and your team will create meaningful education and leisure activities while inspiring new discoveries.

Collaboration with students, guardians, and colleagues is a very important part of the role.

We are looking for you who

We are looking for someone who has a degree and is licensed as a primary school teacher in leisure education/leisure pedagogy. If your primary teacher degree has a focus on music or sports, that is an advantage. It is also beneficial if you already have a few years of experience working in a leisure center.

Furthermore, we are looking for someone who has the ability to see the different needs of all students, takes into account their individual circumstances, and helps them grow. You are well acquainted with the school's and leisure center's governing documents and base your planning, implementation, evaluation, and documentation of the activities on these.

You see collegial learning as an obvious part of your assignment and work. You have new ideas, an interest in creative work, play, and physical activities throughout the school day. You strive for a trusting, open, and respectful collaboration with students, guardians, and colleagues.

About the Workplace

Vikingaskolan is located in Linero, in the southeastern part of Lund. We have 570 students in grades F - 9. The F-3 part of Vikingaskolan is currently under renovation and is located at Råbylundskolan, which is about 1.5 km away.
