Job Matcher at StudentConsulting

Are you a student with a flexible schedule looking for a developing and socially important part-time job? Are you passionate about matching individuals to the job market? Then the job matcher position at StudentConsulting is for you!

We at StudentConsulting in Stockholm are now looking for someone who wants to work part-time as a job matcher alongside their studies and help people into work or education. The work mainly consists of coaching, matching, guiding, and supporting job seekers into jobs or studies through individual conversations and workshops. The work is characterized by a clear focus on results with the goal of helping participants into employment while supporting and motivating them throughout the job search process. The role also includes some administrative and outreach tasks.

Working hours are scheduled Monday to Friday, between 08:00-17:00. A requirement to be considered for the position is that you must be able to work at least 16 hours per week and be present at our office in Stockholm city. Since this position requires certain staffing times, we prefer that you study remotely, write your thesis, or otherwise have a flexible study schedule.

To succeed in this role, it is important that you find it easy to meet new people and situations. Being self-driven in your processes, taking great personal responsibility, and having good organizational skills are qualities we consider important for this role. We believe that you who appreciate the feeling of helping and supporting others will thrive very well in this role, and we take for granted that you are always keen to do a good job. Experience in coaching and/or recruitment will be a great help in your work, but it is not a requirement.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

REQUIREMENTS to be considered for the position:

  • Must be a student at a university or college (at least 50%) and have AT LEAST 6 months left of your studies.
  • Must meet either alternative 1 or 2:
  1. 1.
    • Have completed at least 180 higher education credits (120 credits according to the previous system) in: working life, organization and personnel work, study and career guidance, business administration, work psychology, behavioral science, occupational therapy, or within the framework of the social work education, or another relevant field.
    • AND at least two years of full-time work experience.
  2. 2.
    • Have completed at least one (1) year of full-time studies at the post-secondary level with passing grades.
    • AND at least three (3) years of full-time work experience in one or several of the following professions or tasks mentioned below:
      • Leadership with personnel responsibility.
      • Recruitment.
      • Transition work for job seekers.
      • Study and career guidance.
      • Handling personnel issues (not just personnel administration).
      • Work with labor and labor market issues.
      • Work with social and group psychology.
      • Career guidance.
  • Can provide certificates showing current studies, previous work experience, and previous completed studies.
  • Can work at least 16 hours per week.
  • Can work on-site 2-3 days a week at our office in Stockholm city.
  • Must have very good ability to express yourself in spoken and written Swedish and English.
  • Additional knowledge of another language is an advantage.

  • We prefer that you have previously worked with coaching, mentoring, guidance, and/or recruitment and staffing.
