We offer interesting tasks with good opportunities for personal development, and we are convinced that a mix of people from different backgrounds creates a dynamic and creative work environment – our differences are our strength.

We are strengthening the authority's management support and are now looking for an experienced employee focused on NATO and total defense for the Director General's staff. At FRA, we work on unique tasks – for Sweden's security and integrity.
About FRA
The world is FRA's arena. Our task as an intelligence agency is to protect Sweden against the most serious threats that can be directed against a society – military attacks, terrorism, and cyberattacks. We protect what is most important to us – our security, our democracy, and our way of life. Through our knowledge of the world, our country can prepare and meet threats in time. We are experts in the cyber field and signal intelligence, and a warning bell for military threats. We are also at the core of Swedish cyber defense, protecting the most critical operations and infrastructure from attacks. To accomplish our core missions, advanced technical solutions are required. Together we have a unique task, which we solve with our knowledge and competence.
For your security. For our democracy. Every day. All year round.
Your Mission
As an officer focused on NATO and total defense, you will work with the authority's overarching NATO issues and preparedness planning at the agency level across the entire threat spectrum.
In the role of officer, your main tasks will be to independently and collaboratively plan, implement, and follow up on inter-agency matters, primarily in the form of:

You are responsible for ensuring that the inter-agency perspective is monitored during the preparation of various NATO issues and support the agency management's goal and strategy work. The work also includes leading and participating in internal forums and, where appropriate, representing the agency in external forums.
- Preparedness planning. This includes contributing with analyses, development activities, coordination, and follow-up of the agency's work in the area. You will also participate in internal forums and, where appropriate, represent the agency in external forums.
Organizationally, you will belong to the Director General's staff within the Management Support. Travel within the country may occur in the position.
You Can
We are looking for you who have:
- Relevant academic education or other education that the employer assesses as equivalent
- Very good knowledge of and understanding of NATO and its various doctrines
- Experience in strategic and operational activities within the defense sector, at the government offices or another relevant authority
- Very good knowledge of Swedish and English in both speech and writing
- Good knowledge of the Office package
We consider it an advantage if you have:
- Leadership or managerial experience
- Experience working within FRA
- Experience in war and preparedness planning
- Training in crisis and preparedness planning
- Experience in planning and conducting exercise and training activities within the preparedness area
- Experience in risk and vulnerability analyses and continuity planning
You Are
To thrive in the role, it is important that you are driven and self-sufficient and have a strategic mindset. You are used to setting high goals and completing work in a structured manner. You have the ability to develop plans both in the short and long term and foresee problems and develop alternative plans for them. You are also good at building relationships and enjoy collaborating with others by promoting and developing others' ideas and helping when needed for the group as a whole to perform. The nature of the work requires that you have a high level of integrity.
Our Offer
At FRA, every task is part of something larger. In one way or another, you as an employee will contribute to protecting Sweden's integrity and independence in the world. You are making a real difference every day.
Our employees have high competence, but we can always improve. Therefore, professional development is a given for us. We offer opportunities for skill development. As a new employee, you will broaden your skills directly with a comprehensive introductory training that gives you a greater understanding of the mission and helps you integrate into the operation. As an employee, you will also have the opportunity to find the right training within your specialty to become even better at what you are passionate about.
We value good health among our employees and offer, among other things, wellness during working hours if the work allows.
