We offer interesting tasks with good opportunities for personal development, and we are convinced that a mix of people from different backgrounds creates a dynamic and creative work environment – our differences are our strength.
Do you want to contribute to societal benefit and support Sweden's independence in the world? We are currently looking for intelligence analysts who want to help piece together the information puzzle that creates understanding of what is happening in our changing world. If you are the one we are looking for, we can offer a varied job in an organization where you can make a difference every day. At FRA, we work on unique tasks – for Sweden's security and integrity.
Your Mission
As an intelligence analyst with language skills, you belong to a unit within the Signals Intelligence department. The department works with the collection of raw material, processing, and analysis, delivering intelligence reports and other services to the agency's clients. The unit collaborates closely with the Armed Forces.
You are responsible for systematically searching, processing, and analyzing collected data and information, and then producing intelligence reports through which the results and conclusions of this work are shared with the unit's clients. You are expected to have good linguistic skills and can produce high-quality materials. You can work independently to find the essential when processing various materials, but within the framework of many tasks, you will also work closely with others. Furthermore, you are responsible for monitoring the development of events within your production area and participating in adapting production to the needs of the organization and its clients.
The unit is in a development phase, and you may also be given certain organizational development tasks through both internal and external collaboration.
To Thrive in the Role, We See That You Have
We are looking for someone who has:
- A university degree in political science, law, military science, or in another area that the employer deems relevant. Alternatively, you have acquired equivalent knowledge through work experience.
- Good knowledge of Russian, especially regarding listening and reading comprehension.
- The ability to write, understand, and communicate fluently in Swedish and English.
- Good computer skills and ease in adopting new technical systems and tools.
We consider it an advantage if you have:
- Experience in analytical work.
- Experience in security, foreign, or defense policy areas.
- Experience in intelligence work and/or technology-oriented work.
- Experience in producing materials and reports for government agencies or investigative work.
- Good knowledge of other languages.
- Knowledge and/or experience from FRA's clients.
- Experience with analytical tools.
- Officer training.
- Military service.
- Internships at embassies.
You Are
We will place great emphasis on your personal qualities and are looking for someone with good problem-solving and analytical skills. You have a strong interest in the world around you and the ability to handle large amounts of information systematically. You are naturally curious and seek out new perspectives and ideas to meet the needs of tomorrow. You set high standards and take responsibility for your work, ensuring that you complete your tasks on time in a structured manner. The tasks may vary over time, so it is important to have a flexible attitude, as well as being curious and willing to develop. Since you will be working with others, we see that you communicate clearly and value keeping others informed, and you are happy to share your knowledge and expertise through collaboration. The right person for the position has a strong security mindset and can combine integrity with loyalty, as the work is based on both ethics and procedural compliance.
Our Offer
At FRA, every task is part of something larger. In one way or another, you as an employee will contribute to protecting Sweden's integrity and independence in the world. You are making a real difference every day.
Our employees have high competence, but we can always improve. Therefore, professional development is a given for us. We offer opportunities for skill development. As a new employee, you will broaden your skills immediately with a comprehensive introductory training that gives you a greater understanding of the mission and helps you integrate into the organization. As an employee, you will also have the opportunity to find the right training within your specialty to become even better at what you are passionate about.
We value good health among our employees and offer, among other things, wellness during working hours. Other benefits we offer include a gym at the workplace and leader-led activities, free parking, the possibility of leave on bridge days, extended parental leave, and beautiful surroundings.
