The Business Area Construction is a leading player in Sweden and one of the larger players in Norway. The business includes, among other things, earth and utility works, construction and maintenance of roads, railways, and other socially important infrastructure and foundation works. The business area is organized into five geographical regions, one region for foundation work, and a nationwide region in Sweden for operations and maintenance. Together, we generate over 16 billion SEK annually.

Job Responsibilities

As a Business Controller, you will have a central role with responsibility for financial management, follow-up, and analysis of the business area's operations. Your main tasks will include:

• Analysis and quality assurance of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, as well as reporting financial results to management and the business area manager.
• Preparation of budgets and forecasts, as well as ongoing follow-up of these, including identifying deviations and recommendations for improvement measures.
• Development and implementation of key performance indicators and management tools to ensure efficiency and profitability in the operations.
• Active support and advice to managers and project leaders on financial issues, including business cases, investments, and risk management.
• Participation in strategic and operational projects to further develop financial processes and system support.
• Ensuring that the business's financial reporting and internal control are conducted according to applicable regulations, policies, and procedures.

Your Profile

You have a degree in economics or equivalent academic education in finance and at least three years of relevant experience in Business Controlling or similar roles. To succeed in the role, you need a solid understanding of financial management, analysis work, reporting, and budgeting processes. You are analytical, have a structured working method, and are skilled at communicating financial relationships in an educational manner. You master Excel at an advanced level and preferably have experience with business systems and BI tools.

As a person, you are driven, proactive, and enjoy collaborating with different functions within the organization. You have a genuine interest in business development and find it easy to build trust and good relationships.

You will be part of a team consisting of three colleagues and report to the controller for Peab's Business Area Construction. The position is primarily located in Stockholm but can be discussed.
